Job Summary: Provides daily management and oversight of the Health and Wellness Center. Directs staff engaged in providing health services for all students and ensures departmental programs and standards meet all DOL, PRH, Center and corporate requirements. Manages the delivery of health services, medical support, and educational programs to enhance student employability and help students maintain a healthy lifestyle. Duties:
- Supervises departmental and professional service providers, as assigned.
- Responsible for the Administration of the Health and Wellness Center including completion of all required reports.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate direct report staff.
- Monitors health services activities to ensure that quality services are provided to all students.
- Schedules, conducts, and documents meetings with appropriate personnel for discussion of any problems and/or suggestions relating to students' healthcare and services.
- Maintains accountability of and dispenses prescribed medications.
- Supervises and assists in physical examinations of all new enrollees.
- Orders all drugs and medical supplies and stores when received.
- Maintains adequate inventory control procedures for all medication.
- Documents individual charts for all enrollees seen by medical or dental personnel.
- Reviews applicant files and provides guidance for student accommodations.
- Ensures that all enrollees return for special treatment or medication ordered by a doctor.
- Assists counselors and instructors in presenting health education program information.
- Establish a Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles Committee to oversee and coordinate this program.
- Ensures that dental and mental health productive standards are being met as outlined by HMIS.
- In collaboration with the Administration Manager, develops and implements departmental budget and ensure continued operations within established budgets.
- Authorize and document student leaves, as necessary to obtain medical services and makes recommendations for medical separations.
- Explores third party medical payments for students, such as vocational rehabilitation, etc.
- Develops and implements agreements with local health agencies in support of student needs.
- Provides CPR, first aid, AIDS and Non-Health Standing Orders training to all appropriate staff.
- Works toward meeting performance management goals and objectives.
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Conducts and documents departmental meetings with staff to pass on communications from the senior staff meetings and other Center Director directives, informational memos and policy changes.
- Establishes procedures and conducts periodic self-evaluation and audits to ensure integrity, accountability, and prevention of fraud and program abuse.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate career success skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the individual's scope and capabilities.

Experience: Two year's supervisory experience preferred. Previous Job Corps experience preferred.Education: Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing required Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Registered Nurse . Active unrestricted license to practice in state where center is located. Valid state Drivers' License.
