Full Job DescriptionManatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, is seeking a highly qualified associate with 2-4 years of strong health care regulatory and/or market access experience to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, top-tier health care practice renowned for its integrated professional services approach. Our health care transactions and regulatory team has been directly involved in many of the largest and most sophisticated health care transactions, involving a wide variety of deal structures and participants across the industry.We are looking for candidates who have a strong interest in and enthusiasm for health care issues and trends, with a deep familiarity with the major programs impacting healthcare and life sciences clients including: Medicare, Medicaid, the 340B drug pricing program, the Affordable Care Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in health care regulatory and/or market access matters. Ideal candidates will also have demonstrated regulatory experience advising life sciences companies on complex coverage, coding and reimbursement matters. While not required, familiarity with any of the following areas is preferred: healthcare fraud and abuse, government price reporting, and/or complex coding matters. Prior government experience is a plus.Our Health Care practice is uniquely multidisciplinary, bringing a wide range of legal, policy, advocacy and strategic advisory skills to our clients' transactions. Our broader health care transactions and regulatory team assists with the structuring and negotiation of transactions, provides strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues, implements a variety of contractual arrangements, and counsels clients on the full range of legal issues affecting the health care industry. The practice is fast-moving, cutting-edge and dynamic, with opportunities to develop close relationships with many of the most significant players in the health care industry.We serve a wide range of clients that includes life sciences companies; medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers; hospitals and health systems; medical groups and independent physician associations; long-term and post-acute care providers; health centers; managed care plans and insurers; integrated, risk-bearing platforms; pharmacy chains; nursing homes; regional health information organizations; telehealth and digital health companies; other health care technology providers; and a variety of health care industry vendors as well as their trade associations.Importantly, we are looking for attorneys who work well in a team setting. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity.
