Responsible for the daily operation of the Health Information Management Department, which includes data entry, retrieval and scanning of health information into the electronic health records, tracking missing data. Job Responsibilities:Monitors (D)ocument, (L)ab, (R)eferral, & (T)elephone jellybeans assigned the HIM Department. Handles incoming telephone calls. Processes release of information pursuant to signed record release. Processes incoming documents (ie. post office mail, fax server)Scans or attaches each document to patients clinical record. Attaches to Lab/ Xray order as needed. Distributes forms to be completed by provider to appropriate destination. Sets up alerts for legal documents. Scans Old Records into Chart Capture. Scans outgoing forms completed by the providers into the EMR. Scans dental films into Open Dental. Scans documents generated by office. Scans RHIO consents in e. CW and RHIO.
