Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of Health Office Nurse.
The Health Office Nurse, under the direction of the Licensed School Nurse, provides essential care for ill and injured students, administering skilled nursing services and treatments. This role includes offering health education, conducting health screenings, administering medication, and maintaining accurate health records in accordance with district policies and procedures. The Health Office Nurse ensures the well-being of students within the assigned building while supporting a safe and healthy school environment.

Qualifications Required
* Current LPN or RN License
* Current CPR certification
* Current First Aid Certification
* Knowledge of health laws, guidelines, and rules pertaining to student health care and nursing care services.
* Knowledge of principles, practices, and trends in nursing, healthcare, and child growth and development concerns.
* Knowledge of medication interactions, side effects, and reasonable dosages.
* Knowledge of the Minnesota School Immunization Law.
* Ability to follow emergency plan for care for seizure, anaphylaxis, diabetes, asthma, and other health emergencies.
* Ability to follow WPS district policies and procedures pertaining to health care services and operations.
* Willingness to work with and show respect for students.
* Ability to work independently.
* Demonstrated communication skills, patience, and flexibility.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
