Job Title: Health & Safety TrainerJob Duration: 12 MonthsLocation: Marcy, NY 13403Pay Rate:- $55.00 - $60.00 per hourTravel between 25-50% of the time to our facilities across New York StateProject OverviewCompany is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Trainer This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience and a willingness to travel between 25-50% of the time to our facilities across New York State. Candidates MUST have experience in conducting three (3) or more of the following courses: Fall Protection/Scaffold User/Ladder Safety; Confined Space Entry; Aerial Lift Fork Truck; First Aid/CPR/AED - AHSI certification preferred, along with Stop-the-Bleed; Hearing Conservation; Fire Prevention and Extinguisher Use; Respiratory Protection Job Functions & Responsibilities- Deliver safety training to diverse audiences, including union employees, supervisors, and management personnel -Address questions and concerns related to course content -Capture any feedback to enhance training materials/delivery -Develop relationships with site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)personnel to gain an understanding of the work that is conducted at each facility to bolster training delivery - Maintain accurate training records and use system generated reports to track attendance - Provide guidance and support to employees regarding safety training requirements, resources, and solutions. Skills•Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a wide variety of adult learners. •In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices across various industries. •Proven experience in designing and delivering engaging training programs to diverse audiences, especially those in a union environment. •Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Education & Certifications•Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.•Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety training, •Willingness to travel between 25-50% of the time, including overnight stays for up to a week at a time, as necessary. •Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) or equivalent are strongly preferred. •OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer in either Construction or General Industry preferred.
