The individual selected will be responsible for teaching courses in the Health Sciences and Behavioral Health programs. Examples of courses are medical terminology, pharmacology, behavioral health, gerontology, and community health. Responsibilities include teaching 15 credit hour/15 contact hours a semester and student advising. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Examples of Duties
- Prepare for and instruct classes in a traditional classroom and distance education modes.
- Field experience instruction in various settings as assigned
- Remain current with the changing trends in health sciences and behavioral health
- Provide availability and accessibility to students for the purpose of academic advising, consulting, and support.
- Ensure program level compliance with all internal academic policies and procedures and all accrediting standards, state licensing requirements, and other applicable external rules and regulations.
- Participate in division, department, and general faculty meetings, in-service training, workshops and/or seminars; serve on college committees, and/or other activities within the scope of the position to improve program enrollment, retention, completion, and fundraising.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field from an accredited institution
- BCBA/BCaBA certified or licensed in another behavioral health profession (or willing to obtain)
- Experience in a behavioral/mental health field (or equivalent education)
- Experience working and/or teaching in higher education or related field
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving, and mediation.
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Curriculum development and evaluation
- Online teaching experience
- Master's degree or higher in a related field
