Based in Albany, NY, working at the direction of the NYS Department of Health (DOH) this individual will conduct survey and certification activities of ICF/MR facilities including utilization and quality reviews as well as, review and processing of referred reports to determine if state and/or federal regulations have been met, and if necessary, drafts statements of deficiency. This individual may also provide technical assistance to internal and external agencies. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong interpersonal.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to relate effectively to clinical and administrative personnel and patients.
- Computer proficiency with the ability to learn and understand new review programs and monitoring tools.
- Able to travel to on-site facility within New York State, required.
- Must have a valid driver's license & the ability to travel to on-site facilities review assignments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- NYS Licensed RN and a graduate of an approved, registered professional nursing program, required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with the Intellectual Disability population and deemed QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) of survey experience, required.
OR
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) OR a Master's degree in any other health care related field including PT/OT/ST or other clinical area. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with the Intellectual Disability population and deemed QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) of survey experience, required.
The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $75,000.00. Actual salary range and /or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.
