This position required to travel approximately 85% of the time. This Career Service position provides health services in the Florida Department of Health in Lake County - School Health (SH) Program and includes working in outlying School-Based Immunization and Health Screening Clinics under the supervision of the Nursing Program Specialist to appraise, protect, and promote the health status of the Lake County School students. The incumbent will serve as the Private/ Charter School coordinator. This position work hours will coincide with the Lake County School Board student calendar and will be scheduled to work the DOH-Lake clinics during the major periods when school is scheduled to be closed i.e. Winter Break, Spring Break and approximately five weeks during the summer months. Incumbent may be asked to work in the School Health program during these periods depending on the needs of the School Health Program or per discretion of supervisor.
