We are a 25 bed Critical Access hospital serving Medical, Surgical, and Swing Bed Patients and Families. Our team consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Health Unit Coordinators and Nursing Assistants. The Hospital team provides a plan of care based on Provider instruction and Nursing Care Planning to meet patient goals providing optimal care for their health and safety to promote quality of life. Mission for PositionTo provide individualized personal and nursing care to patients while preserving the patient's rights and human dignity in a confidential manner, encouraging the patient to function at their highest level of ability. Duties & Responsibilities The Hospital Health Unit Coordinator performs secretarial, clinical and aide duties in their assigned unit. They assist with flow of patient care via transcribing Provider orders, serves as department receptionist (greets and directs customers), answers and directs phone calls. The HUC also maintains charts and departmental supplies as well as maintaining the unit in an organized manner.Position Type

- High school graduate or GED
- Medical Secretary Certificate or Health Unit Coordinator training preferred.
- Detail oriented, organized. Accuracy is of vital importance.
- High level of organizational and prioritization skills is critical.
- Excellent oral communication and listening skills.
- Works well in emergent and non-emergent situations.
- Deals effectively with multiple interruptions in workflow.
- Computer skills are a must.
