Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital._**Responsibilities:**+ _Shift Report: Gives and receives report on assigned shift to oncoming HUC (as applicable) or Charge Nurse, Remains at nurse's station during change of shift to answer telephones and call lights_+ _Greets and offers assistance promptly to all persons entering the unit._+ _Operates all communication systems and relays messages appropriately_+ _Maintains nurse's station whiteboard with staff assignments, a/d/t, and other unit-specific information._+ _Maintains nurse's station whiteboard with staff assignments, a/d/t, and other unit-specific information._+ _Schedules patient diagnostics, treatments, and therapies and transport needs as directed. Follows up to assure accuracy of scheduling and communication to patient's nurse._+ _Patient Access List (primary view; configured per Job Aide)_+ _Ensures timely and appropriate communication and data entry of patient transfers and discharges within 15 minutes of patient departure_+ _Other duties as assigned_**_What you will need:_****Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable):**Certificate of completion of medical secretary training in a vocational or hospital-based program preferred.**Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:**Previous experience as a unit secretary, administrative partner, Health Unit Coordinator, or CNAHigh School diploma or equivalentComputer skills - Microsoft Office products.Must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written) and fluency in the English languageVisual and auditory acuityAbility to identify and distinguish color**About us:**_Holy Cross Health is a Catholic, not-for-profit health system that serves more than 240,000 individuals each year from Maryland's two largest counties - Montgomery and Prince George's counties.
