The Nurse Director is responsible for the oversight of health care services provided in designated residential programs. Ensure that policies and procedures comply with best practices and/or state and federal requirements.Oversee the agency's auditing system of health care record-keeping practices and develop and implement tools to document such audits.Provide nursing consultation to nursing staff, program management, supervisory staff, individuals and families and act as a resource for them in accessing information.Provide health care case management and coordination for individuals whose health care issues are complex or acute. Provide on-site assessment or treatment of individuals, as needed. QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.Minimum of five years of experience as a registered nurse in a community setting.Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
