The candidates should have 4-6 years' experience in healthcare/commercial litigation. The position provides the opportunity to work both independently and as part of our strong Healthcare team. Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal counsel to health-care focused clients on federal and state health care regulatory issues impacting transactions and day-to-day business operations
  • Handle all aspects of healthcare litigation, including drafting pleadings/motions, preparation of discovery and attendance at court conferences
  • Handle hospital privilege actions
  • Conduct insurance company Examinations Under Oath
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements and documents related to health care transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, regulatory compliance and employment
  • Maintain direct communication with firm attorneys and clients, providing updates and strategic recommendation
  • Handle insurance audits and professional license board matters, including before the OPMC and OPD
  • Prepare for and attend administrative agency hearings
Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Superior academic credentials
  • Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills
  • Must be bar admitted in the state New York
  • Must have New York State court experience
