Nemours is seeking a Healthcare Operational Performance Improvement and Data Analytics Manager to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
The position will have a strong focus on gathering and utilization of data to recognize, implement, and supporting operational performance improvement initiatives. The purpose will be to facilitate achievement of organizational and enterprise operational and financial goals and objectives.
The position will support multiple hospital-based services and departments including but not limited to the Anesthesia, Audiology, Lab, Partnerships, Quality & Safety, Radiology, Strategic Planning, Therapy, and others.
Essential Functions
Operational Leadership
* Support the development and implementation of operational dashboards. Support collection and analysis of data that measures success against benchmarks. Support refinements or changes to programs, procedures, and/or approaches in response to that information.
* Provide prompt, thorough, and accurate information to direct leaders to keep them appropriately informed of operating performance of areas of oversight.
Data Management and Utilization to Drive Operational Improvement Initiatives
* Collect/mine data, prepare analyses and reports using published standards to identify progress and adverse trends, and make recommendations and implement changes when needed.
* Create and maintain databases to assure the availability of accurate and timely data analyses.
* Create, submit and lead meetings focusing on data/statistical reports and trends for Hospital-Based Services and Partnerships.
* Partner with department and Hospital-Based Services leadership, as well as the Partnership Team, to develop and manage projects related to performance targets, reporting variances. Support the creation of remediation plans as needed.
* Partner with Operational Finance to assist with operational budget planning and trending financial data (expense management, productive, and nonproductive time).
* Assist with data organization, display, and analysis to facilitate recognition of opportunities for action.
* Obtain and analyze data to understand work processes, time management, and efficiency of staff. Assist to develop plans to maximize productivity and ensure maximum utilization of resources available.
* Gather historical data and provide to Hospital-Based Services and Partnership Teams for decision support.
* Must possess the ability to prioritize projects in line with Hospital-Based Services and Partnership Strategic goals.
* Utilize Nemours software systems (Harmony, HRIS, sales force, NDNQI, EPIC, Midas, Qlik Sense) to support objectives.
* Develop and monitor cost-containment strategies that drive greatest value for patients, families, and organization while creating financial sustainability.
* Monitor performance against access targets and standards for scheduling and access.
* Other operational duties as prioritize by Hospital-Based Services Leadership and Partnership Teams.
Quality Assurance and Improvement
* Work collaboratively to assure high performance in the attainment of operational effectiveness and efficiency, patient safety outcomes, patient experience outcomes through patient / family centered care, quality outcomes, hospital operations, financial performance, productivity, and Continuous Performance Improvement. Participates in work to maintain regulatory standard requirements at the State, Federal, and Joint Commission level.
Planning and Program Development
* Support strategic planning and the development of new efforts and programs directed at increasing market share, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing financial results.
* Supporting efforts to convert strategic plans into a financial model, developing implementation plans, and operationalizing the initiatives.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mid-level accounting/finance role, preferably in healthcare.
* Successful track record in fiscal performance leadership, process improvement, and meeting established goals and benchmarks.
* Prior experience with budget development, financial forecasting, assessment of cost effectiveness of systems, people, space planning and personnel management.
* Demonstrated success with applying performance improvement methodologies, project team facilitation and/or system development applications.
* Proven track record of working collaboratively with physicians and executive administration in a healthcare environment.
