Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Healthcare Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, and execution of healthcare facility projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of healthcare facility requirements, and expertise in architectural project management. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of healthcare facility projects, from concept through to completion, ensuring that each project adheres to the client's needs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Lead project teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors, to deliver successful healthcare projects.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and schedules, and ensure all project milestones are met.
  • Oversee design development and review architectural plans to ensure they meet healthcare codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals and facility operators to ensure the design accommodates patient care needs, workflow, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on healthcare-specific design standards, such as infection control, safety regulations, accessibility, and patient-centered care principles.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Review and approve project documentation, including contracts, proposals, and permits, ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Ensure the procurement of necessary materials, equipment, and subcontractors while maintaining project budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and ensure quality control.
  • Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders and ensure the project adheres to the defined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Support the team in addressing design or construction issues, and work collaboratively to find solutions that align with project goals.
  • Ensure the final project delivery meets the healthcare facility's functional needs and provides an optimal environment for patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in architectural project management, with a focus on healthcare facility design and construction.
  • Knowledge of healthcare design standards, including regulations, codes, and accreditation requirements (e.g., FGI Guidelines, ADA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Proficient in project management software and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct site visits, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs on construction sites.
  • May need to lift materials or carry project-related documents during site visits.
  • Ability to sit for long periods while working at a desk or computer.
