Job Title:Wellness CoordinatorReports to:Director of WellnessType of Position:HourlyDepartment:Wellness/ActivitiesPosition PurposeLeads a comprehensive wellness program by creatively executing plans and coordinating new and exciting elements into the wellness programs for residents, staff, and the community both on and off campus.Essential FunctionsPlanning the ongoing development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation of wellness activitiesFacilitates and/or manages daily programs including individual exercise programsAssists in organizing and facilitating special events, presentations, Wellness fairs, etc.Assist with the evacuation of residentsManages the Healthcare expenses to be within approved budgeted amountsReconciles petty cash and credit card billsOther DutiesParticipates in departmental, all-staff, and on-the-job in-service programs, as scheduledPerforms other duties as assignedAccountabilitiesFollows established safety procedures and precautions while performing tasks and during emergenciesReports all incidents/accidents, unsafe or hazardous conditions, and defective equipment to the Supervisor immediatelyAssures that Infection Control and Universal Precaution practices are followed. Uses appropriate clothing/devices when performing tasks involving the handling of infectious waste and/or blood/body fluidsMaintains confidentiality of resident information and honors resident personal and property rightsHandles all interactions with residents and staff in a respectful and cordial mannerComplies with all Hubbard Hill Estates work rules, policies, and proceduresDemonstrates dependability, punctuality, and professional appearanceJob RequirementsOne-two years of experience in a health care setting preferred; long-term care specifically preferredBasic understanding of computer technology, including e-mail, MS Office products and internet use requiredPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsMust be able to walk or sit much throughout the day, depending on activitiesMust be available to be on-call and to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends or holidays when necessaryMust be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, or hostile peopleMay encounter frequent interruptions and exposure to infectious wasteMust communicate with medical staff, nursing personnel, and other internal and external contacts
