Healthy Families America (HFA) helps families address challenges like single parenthood, low income, mental health issues, substance abuse or child or spousal abuse by building on strengths (and not focusing on weaknesses). Home visits start before birth or within the first three months after a child's birth and can continue through the first three to five years of life. Position Summary: The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on management of the site, and is involved in planning, budgeting, staffing, training, quality assurance, and evaluation. PMS are also responsible for ongoing collaboration with community/state partners, public relations, and maintaining positive working relationships with early childhood partners and providers. The Program Manager provides leadership to the Medical Center of South Arkansas Home Visiting Healthy Families America program. The position is responsible for providing oversight and supervision to Home Visiting Family Support Specialists. Overall responsibilities are to ensure the program meets the critical elements of Healthy Families America in best practice and service delivery, completes all reports, and participates in meetings as assigned. To provide leadership to Healthy Families staff and maintain quality programming as set by the Healthy Families America Credentialing Standards. To empower individuals and families by promoting human growth and dignity, and preventing abuse through advocacy, education, counseling, and support services. Education and Experience Bachelor's degrees in social work or related human services fields. Masters in social work or public health preferred. Three years' experience in case management with families, children or youth and at-risk children and their families. Two years supervisory and management experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. A working knowledge and understanding of patient/client confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulations are essential. Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out moderately-complex, multi-step instructions and make appropriate independent decisions as necessary Physical Demands - Regularly required to stand; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to thirty (30) pounds. Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
