Job Overview Monitors heat treat furnaces and quenching equipment to alter physical and chemical properties of metal parts/gears. Monitor endothermic generator for proper dew points. Key Job Responsibilities Prepare and stack loads to enter heat treat furnaces. Monitor Furnaces during HT operation by adjusting furnace controls. Set up and operate die-quenching machine to prevent parts from warping. Make adjustment to quench press as needed. Complete daily furnace operating check sheets. Uses overhead cranes, hoists, and tow motor to move and position parts. Complete all burn-out logs for furnaces and generator. Obeys all safety rules, wears proper PPE, and adhere to 6S standard. Able to read micrometers and depth gauges and use quench press dies Qualifications/Requirements At least 1 - 3 years of heat treat/gas carburizing experience using controlled atmosphere IQ furnaces High School Diploma/GED 2nd shift position in a union facility (always possibility of change in shifts) Overtime in not mandatory, however will be available regularly Additional Information Komatsu is an Equal Opportunity Workplace and an Affirmative Action Employer.
