They will work each day with safety at helm of every function they perform. This person will have a desire to learn a variety of tasks and be willing to cover and assist where they are needed throughout the facility and have a desire to produce a quality product.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?Able to successfully operate Heat Treat entry with minimum supervision.Keep constant watch over a continuous heat treatment line.Continuous mental and visual attention in loading, operating, running tests, and checks.Ensure that all parameters are correctly entered into furnace input controls systems.Assure correct material is to be loaded into furnace.Apply or reapply joint identification when necessary.Responsible for segregating and identifying nonconforming products accordingly.Maintain all records and keep detailed logs over daily production.Adjust variables according to the product process documentation.Monitor process computer according to the product process documentation.Report any maintenance issues promptly to the Heat Treat Supervisor.Use of cutting torch and plasma cutter proficiently and safely.Setting up of machinery and associated equipment to efficiently perform changeovers and minimize downtime.Responsible for isolating all power sources when entering or handling any possible moving products or equipment, e.g. lockout/tagout procedures.Service machine when needed and assist maintenance personnel to remedy any issues.General maintenance, including some preventive, visual inspections, etc. when needed.Keep work area tidy and clean while working in a fast paced environment.Verify all inputs on workstation are correct and in working condition.Performs all other duties as requested by Heat Treat Supervisor.Must be able to use basic hand tools and understand theory of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulic, and electric motors.Assist in training others and able to perform all associated positions within the Heat Treatment.Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment.Must be proficient with the use of computers including proprietary systems.Operation of overhead cranes and or forklifts when needed.Use of measuring tools required, O.D. micrometer, dial calipers, tape measures, etc.Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED);Or one to three months related experience and/or training. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Pre-Employment Drug TestingPre-Employment Background CheckWorking Conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.This job is performed in a production environment, and is in an indoor/outdoor facility.
