- Project Management: Oversee multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality control, and project deadlines.
- Expertise in Civil Construction: Provide leadership in grading, road construction, sewer, water, and storm drainage infrastructure projects, offering guidance to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
- Plan Interpretation: Accurately interpret and implement construction plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements, ensuring project alignment and compliance.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate project teams, including foremen, operators, and laborers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Schedule Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to develop and execute project schedules, coordinating material procurement, and addressing project-related challenges.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide professional development opportunities for team members, promoting skill enhancement and sharing industry best practices.
- Site Inspection & Safety: Conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to safety regulations.
- Survey & Layout Assistance: Assist with field layout and surveying activities as needed to ensure precision and accuracy in construction tasks.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction.
- Expertise in interpreting and applying construction plans, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to guide and motivate project teams.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high quality and efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites in Hinds, Madison, Rankin County, MS.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check prior to employment.
