As a key player in our team, you will engage with customers through retail and wholesale channels, either in person or over the phone, to understand their needs and provide them with comprehensive information on available options and pricing. A strong knowledge of products and semi trucks is vital for achieving success in this role. Furthermore, your responsibilities will include maintaining and expanding our existing customer base by acquiring new clients.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of our products or services to existing and potential customers.
- Engage in consultative discussions with customers to assess their parts requirements and determine the necessary parts or truck systems.
- Collaborate with technical support teams from manufacturers to ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs.
- Efficiently locate and obtain requested parts from our warehouse or vendors on behalf of customers.
- Determine the appropriate sales price for each customer in accordance with company procedures.
- Process customer returns of parts following our established procedures.
- In case of emergencies, arrange special orders for parts on an urgent basis.
- Handle approved credits for customers returning merchandise.
- Secure and renew orders while coordinating deliveries.
- Proactively recommend replacement, upgrades, or superseded parts to customers, highlighting how these changes can lower costs or enhance performance.
- Maintain the confidentiality of pricing lists and structures as required by our company procedures.
- Address customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, warranties, and product features.
- Provide customers with informative product literature.
- Optimize non-selling and non-service time by studying catalogs, bulletins, inventory changes, stocking, and related tasks.
- Ensure the parts counter area is clean and well-organized to enhance the overall sales experience.
- Proficiently operate the computer to access cataloging with system diagrams.
Requirements
