*Job Summary*We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing and transporting vehicles, equipment, load shifts, and heavy commercial vehicles. This also includes performing recovery calls, including: accidents, winching, semi jack knives, roll overs, and mobile truck repairs.About us:Diversified Towing & Recovery is a family-owned and operated business that is committed to providing the best services available. Diversified Towing & Recovery is a division of Giza Companies that serves residential, agricultural, commercial, wind energy, and government agencies with various divisions focused on commercial heavy earthwork, agricultural conservation, and transport of all types of specialty freight, including oversize and overweight loads.*Duties*- Operate a tow truck to move, transport, and recover vehicles and equipment- Perform vehicle inspections before and after towing- Secure vehicles properly for transport- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients- Utilize mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and maintenance- Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck- Handle conflicts or difficult situations with professionalism, utilize open communication at all times*Qualifications*- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record. Valid Medical Card, as well as, pass a drug screening and background check.- Experience in towing, especially with flatbed trucks, is preferred- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical skills is a plus- Strong customer service skills and conflict management abilities- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles- Capability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy loads- minimum lifting of 50 pounds, and long distance driving.
