We are experiencing significant growth and are looking for full-time, skillful Heavy-duty Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic team in our Succasunna, NJ location. In this position, you will collaborate with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver's needs. What we offer:* Choice of competitive health insurance plans (medical, dental and vision).* Life and disability insurance.* 401(k) option. * Up to 10 PTO days in the 1st year of employment (incremental increases after).* Job-related training.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):* Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions and perform the repair.* Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts.* Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts.* Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.* Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.* Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks.* Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.* Performs repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services.* Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.* Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.* Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.* Reviews and completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.* Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.* Maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment in compliance with Reuther and OSHA standards.Requirements* Attention to detail and familiarity with diesel trucks.* Excellent physical condition and coordination (including the ability to reach above your head, bend, stand, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, kneel, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds as relevant to the job).* Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, during periods of high demand.* Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather (inclement and otherwise).* Frequently exposed to moving mechanical machinery and parts, fumes and airborne particles.* Regularly loud noise level.* High school diploma.* Must be at least 18 years of age.* Must have valid I-9 credentials (i.e. valid passport, drivers license, state-issued id, social security card, etc..).Other: *We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
