Operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments. This position will report to the Roads & Cemetery Manager and is based at Ft. Sill in Lawton. Typical work hours will be Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm.Benefits Include:
- Base pay of $22.61/hr.

- Operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments.
- May read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans. May grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment.
- Use equipment to excavate, load or move dirt, gravel or other materials.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have a minimum of four years recent and related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training on heavy equipment. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
- Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb ladders. Frequently required to kneel, squat, bend, and reach.
- Must possess the ability to develop a positive working relationship with customers and employees.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
- Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Must Possess current Commercial Driver License (Class A or B), if required for the equipment and vehicles operated, and maintain a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
