Heavy Equipment Operator I
: Job Details :

Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: operating heavy equipment and trucks for maintenance of grounds, buildings, and roads; clearing and preparing landscapes for forging of manholes; building new roads and pipe laying; constructing roads with crew members by cutting slopes, pulling ditches, laying blue top on roads and clipping shoulders; loading and packing dirt and other heavy materials. Performs minor preventive maintenance, repairs equipment as necessary, and/or prepares machines for serving. Minimum Qualification High school diploma or GED, with one (1) year of training in the use of equipment such as front-end loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, motor graders, trucks, drag-line cranes, sweepers, low-boy tractors, and other similar machinery; or any other equivalent related combination of education, training, and experience which shows the ability to perform the duties of the position.
