Job Description:

This position will be with Desert Environmental, LLC, an affiliate of WaterBridge Operating, LLC. Summary of Position: The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for moving waste throughout the facility for treatment and disposal by operating various equipment, such as dozers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: The following represents most of the duties the position performs but is not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards and corporate policies. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for: Operating a variety of heavy equipment used in a landfill. Performing pre-shift safety inspections on the vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories. Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and referring defects or needed repairs to the supervisor. Maintaining good housekeeping of equipment. Assisting in maintenance and repairs if needed. Assisting with the operation of other equipment as needed. Conducting all business activities following health and safety policies and legal compliance requirements and bringing problems to the attention of the supervisor, superintendent, and/or HSE. Qualifications & Requirements: Have a high school diploma or GED. Have a valid driver's license. Have experience operating one or more of the following: Excavator Loader Dozer Articulating Dump Truck Motor Grader Have 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred. Working Conditions/Environment: Operates in a field environment. The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and must be able to carry a self-contained breathing apparatus if needed. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type: This is a full-time position. 12 Hour rotational schedule. 14/7 (14 days on, 7 days off) Position Location: Orla, TX Company-paid housing will be provided during working shifts.
