- Diagnose & repair railcar mover cars and other identified products.
- Strong background with railcar mover cars.
- Communicate with the customer and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Help increase business by making customer calls.
- Perform only those repairs clearly and specifically requested by the owner of the railcar mover cars or product.
- Thoroughly document and assess the condition of the product related to other repairs that are not part of the repair or quote.
- Submit complete documentation for all work in a timely manner, as required by management
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid class A CDL license.
- A technical background is required.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems, charging systems is a plus.
- This technician will be required to be trained and capable of working on the railcar mover cars.
- Must have own tools to work on rail car movers.
- Must have communication skills and be able to complete accurate paperwork.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of a service technician.
- Regular and punctual attendance is required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to travel overnight and be on call.
- Must be able to operate a large crane truck.
- Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress and preparation.Working Conditions: Hours will be 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required, as well as some overnight travel and periods of being on call. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Steel toed work boots are mandatory
