Haaker Equipment Company is looking to hire for a Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice in the Las Vegas, NV Area!
Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience working on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
Job Summary:
This position is an entry level Technician Position. Requires individual to work under the supervision of the General Manager and closely with the Shop Foreman. Individual will receive work assignments and schedule on a daily basis. Perform assigned tasks per schedule and process all required documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist and Repair customer's equipment in the shop or field, as needed.
- Provide suggestions for customer's equipment based on maintenance.
- Maintain customer's equipment.
- Work closely with Shop Foreman.
- 5S and maintain shop responsibilities.
- Rental Unit Readiness (Inventory maintenance and washing of vehicles)
- Parts and Supplies Procurement for Shop Foreman

- Maintenance of inventory
- Show the ability to understand customer's concerns and diagnose accordingly
- Create parts list for required repairs and quote repairs to customer through Service Logistics
- Complete all assignments given by the Office Manager or Shop Foreman.
- Show ability to take and follow directions
- Read and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspection on daily basis before leaving shop.
- Show ability to listen and a willingness to learn
- Ability to change out general wear items
- Perform all tasks in a clean and professional manner
- Follow all “5S” directions
- Interface with customers at customer location; provide copy of field report to customer.
- Advise customer of job status before leaving customer's location.
- Inspect customer's equipment to determine if additional work is required.▪ Perform and diagnose repairs to customer's equipment at customer locations.
- General electrical and hydraulic trouble-shooting
- Assist with the organization of the shop/Shop Supplies area
- Perform misc. driving duties, delivery/pickup

- Must be able to work overhead for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to push and/or pull with up to 25lbs of pressure.
- Ability to grasp and hold tools with both hands as repair requires.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Acquisition of Tools needed for repairs.
