As a flight Captain, you will follow the policies and procedures outlined in the Fanatics Aviation General Operations Manual and applicable aircraft flight manuals. You will work cross-functionally with a diverse group of people including internal and external business partners as well as Fanatics teammates at all levels of the company.It is mandatory to participate in the company aviation SMS, taking an active role supporting the open sharing of information on all safety issues, and reporting all safety hazards and concerns.What You'll Do:
  • Maintaining all necessary aircraft currencies and pilot documents required for safe and legal flight operations.
  • Checking weather, all applicable NOTAMs where available, and determining fuel, oil, and any maintenance discrepancies.
  • Completing an aircraft preflight inspection per the aircraft flight manual before each departure.
  • Determining aircraft weight and balance.
  • Performance analysis for the required airports and heliports.
  • Ensuring that all flight planning requirements have been met.
  • Operating the aircraft in accordance with operator procedures and aircraft limitations.
  • Ensuring that a flight will not be continued beyond the nearest suitable airport if any flight crew member or passenger appears to be affected by injury, sickness, fatigue, the effects of any psychoactive substance, or other applicable event.
  • Reporting to the appropriate air traffic services as soon as possible any hazardous weather or flight conditions encountered that are likely to affect the safety of the aircraft or other aircraft.
  • Recording flight times and aircraft defects.
  • Completing post-flight duties, including notification to Flight Operations of any deviation from the planned itinerary or overnight location.
  • Notifying the nearest appropriate authority by the quickest available means of any accident involving the aircraft, resulting in serious injury or death of any person or substantial damage to the aircraft or property.
  • Ensuring compliance with Operational Control procedures as prescribed in the Company GOM.
  • Supporting and participating in the Safety Management System.
  • Conducting a passenger briefing in accordance with the requirements specified in the Standard Operating Procedures chapter.
  • Assisting the passengers safely to and from the aircraft and ensuring the safety and comfort of the passengers in flight.
  • Primarily domestic with occasional international flights possible within North America and the Caribbean.
  • Additionally, the Helicopter Captain serves as a mentor for the training and development of crew members in techniques, methods, and daily activities in accordance with Fanatics policies and Standard Operating Procedures. Specific responsibilities in this regard include.
    • Encouraging and using effective CRM in the single pilot or the crew's management of the cockpit.
    • Personal or crewmember briefings prior to a flight on all aspects of the flight.
    • Self-supervision or crew supervision throughout the flight, including flight preparation and flight documentation.
    • Self-discussion or crew discussion regarding duties and responsibilities.
    • Self-monitoring or crew monitoring of professional behavior..

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Class 1 medical
  • Commercial Instrument with ATP
  • CFI/CFII preferred (Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument)
  • Final authority for the operation of the aircraft assigned.
  • Responsible for safe and efficient transport of passengers and crew.
  • Authority to delay, cancel or discontinue a flight when conditions are unsuitable for the conduct or continuation of the flight.
  • Authority to indicate a change in the planned flight during the flight when such a change is appropriate for the safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Northeast, specifically NYC flight operations experience.
  • AW 139 type rating
  • Extensive Helicopter IFR experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
