Job Description:

At Map Communications, we are looking for team-oriented individuals with a background in IT helpdesk support to provide an on-site presence in our newly renovated corporate headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginia. In addition to local desktop support, you will be asked to assist the team with remote end-user support via our helpdesk phone queue and ticketing system. Applicants should be skilled in multi-tasking and be flexible for re-prioritizing tasks to meet operational needs. Our environment is fast-paced, and constantly evolving to keep up with demand. **This is an onsite position, you must be located within 30 minutes of our office in Chesapeake, VA**Schedule:10am-7pmCompensation and Benefits:$19.00-$23.00 per hour based on experienceFull time benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 401k, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Responsibilities:Provide local desktop support to an office of approximately 150 employees.Maintain hardware and peripherals; maintain a fundamental understanding of asset management.Field calls from a helpdesk phone queue and provide end-user support over the phone to employees based in US and Canada.Close tickets in a timely manner, while upholding customer service standards.Identify issues that require immediate attention and escalate accordingly to senior members of the team or other departments.Assist with onboard and offboarding tasks, including account creations in Active Directory, email account creation, key fob activations, etc.Assist infrastructure and network engineers with hands-on support for future maintenance events for the office.Understand concepts related to networks, servers, databases, etc.Write and maintain documentation on key processes and procedures.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Customer-service oriented with acceptance and patience for end-users of all technical skill levels.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask effectively.Must be able to work within a team environment, but responsible for one's own tasks.Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with Windows OS desktop support.Familiarity with deployments and imaging solutions for desktop computer builds such as Windows MDT.Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).3+ years experience supporting desktop/server operation systems and technologies.Must be able to lift 30 pounds.Thank you for your interest in MAP Communications, Inc.
