ENGEO is looking for a motivated Help Desk Technician who provides efficient and effective technology solutions. As a Help Desk Technician, you will serve as a key member of our dynamic team, serving the entire organization with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
- Respond to help desk request queue while working with internal employees to expeditiously resolve their issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 support
- Analyze and troubleshoot computer, printer, software, hardware and network related issues with the support of the broader IT Team
- Set up new Windows11 computers and install associated software applications like MS Office, Windows Defender and other business specific applications.
- Perform computer hardware/software upgrades
- Maintain computer asset inventory
- Develop content to service users faster or promote self-service, e.g., tutorials, videos, user guides, response templates
- Provide basic, in-house training on desktop applications to new staff
- Under direction create and maintain user accounts in Active Directory and Office365
- Keep current on relevant technologies
- Ability to work on technology projects individually, or in concert with other IT Team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Travel within the Bay Area as needed
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of network fundamentals, DHCP and DNS required
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory required
- 1-3 years of practical work experience in a computer related corporate support role
- 2-year degree/certificate in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- MCP or MCSE Certification (preferred)
- Experience with Windows 11, MS Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Windows based PC/laptop hardware
- Experience with MS InTune or MS Defender a plus.
Salary Description Approximate hourly rate $32.00-$38.00
