Help Desk Technician Full Time Position: (M-F) On-Call Weekend Rotation Bachman's is committed to creating a caring environment while inspiring a passion for bringing beauty to life. Bachman's information technology department has an opening for a help desk technician who is skilled in trouble shooting, automated systems, hands on support, and system backup and recovery support.   • Perform technical hands-on support of a large fleet of personal computers, point-of-sale registers, and other computing hardware for remote and on-site users.
  • Respond to and resolve or escalate incoming Help Desk requests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Provide system backup and recovery support and participate in on-call rotation for after-hours requests.
  • Provide technical support for 250+ PC's (hardware and software) and 85+ POS registers.
  • Provide technical support for printers and other peripherals.
  • Support automated System Backup applications.
  • Provide analysis of diagnostic utilities to aid in basic troubleshooting of PC problems.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software/hardware, configuring systems and applications.
  • Provide On Call support on a rotational basis.
  • Work with the recycling and disposal of outdated hardware.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A+ certification and 1-2 years work experience OR Associates Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in help desk role supporting Microsoft Office products with high proficiency in using MS Office products and Windows Operating Systems preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting computer hardware, peripherals, Microsoft applications and Windows 10, 11, and smart devices.
  • Exposure to troubleshooting mobile devices.
  • Hands on experience with installing and troubleshooting PC software and hardware issues.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
