Service offerings include: hygienic process piping, gas distribution systems, clean steam systems, purified water systems, high purity piping, plumbing, exhaust systems, water treatment systems, service utilities, and equipment setting.As part of EMCOR Group, Bahnson's group of companies provides the local leadership to solve mechanical engineering challenges for our clients, which is enhanced by the backing of a financially solid Fortune 500 company with a national presence.Mechanical Specialties Contractors is seeking a Helper to support our Process Piping and High Purity job sites. This person will work under the guidance of a Supervisor, Foreman or other team member to learn and attain mechanical skills & abilities necessary to enable advancement.Key Duties:* Identify and gather material for installation.* Measure, cut and prep piping for installation.* Layout and installation of piping supports.* Layout piping routes, with assistance if needed, from project drawings.* Support the project craft team as needed.* Assist with installation of piping systems and equipment.* Assist with testing and startup of piping systems.* Operate lifts, equipment and power tools as needed.* Removal and disposal of scrap or excess material to the specified areas.* Communicate any foreseen project goal hindrances, regarding design and constructability, immediately to the supervisor.* Adhere to project team goals and directives.* Focus on project safety, productivity, and schedule compliance while maintaining a high standard for workmanship.* Work safely at all times and abide by all safety rules and requirements.Preferred Qualifications:* High school or general education diploma (GED) with good math skills* 2+ years of experience in piping the field or fabrication shop* Knowledge of basic piping systems* Possess fundamental construction skills, including basic knowledge of the use of hand tools and power tools* Experience reading and interpreting basic print and sketches* Ability to navigate shop and job sites safelyWe offer high-quality employee benefits that start the 1st day of the month after your start date!* Health Insurance: 4 plans available to choose from with Rx coverage* Heath Saving Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options available* Dental insurance: 2 plans available to choose from* Vision insurance* Company-paid Accidental Death/Dismemberment coverage* Company-paid Life insurance* Company-paid Short-Term & Long-Term Disability coverage* 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match up to the first 5% and immediate vestingOther Great Benefits:* Competitive Paid Days Off + Holiday Pay* Weekly pay with direct deposit and per diem plan* Employee Stock Purchase plan with 10% company match* Employee referral incentives* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* Tuition ReimbursementNotice to prospective employees: There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.
