General Description/PurposeUnder direction from the Supervisor or Foreman, performs varied types of manual and unskilled laboring work, does other related duties as required to assist installation projects or productions processes.
Essential Job Functions- Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
- Preparing installation, production construction sites, materials, and tools.
- Help equipment operators, technicians, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.
- Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
- Load or unload construction materials.
- Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as pallets, materials, production areas and scaffolding.
- Assist craft workers, technicians and supervisors.
- Assembling and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, and construction settings.
- Drilling holes, set nuts and bolts, etc.
- Installing metal structures, like belts and conveyors , aligning and leveling.
Required Qualifications- A High School Diploma or Trades School certificate preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working as a helper general laborer in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Certified and able to drive a forklift preferred.
- Initiative and able to work independently with limited supervision.
