QUALIFICATIONS: - 3-5 years of hands-on experience working in the dairy industry, including but not limited to managing herd health, supervising staff, and overseeing dairy operations.- Proven experience in artificial insemination (AI) breeding techniques, including heat detection, synchronization programs, and sire selection.- Comprehensive knowledge of fresh cow management, including calving supervision, transition cow care, and postpartum health monitoring.- Proficient in calf care, including feeding, vaccination protocols, and overall herd health.- Strong background in record keeping, including maintaining accurate production records, health data, and breeding records. JOB DESCRIPTION: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a small dairy in Pennsylvania who is in need of a Herdsman to supervise the dairy crew, ensuring that daily tasks are completed on time and that all protocols and procedures are followed. The ideal candidate should have experience in supervising employees, managing herd health, breeding, and maintaining herd records using PC Dart and Delpro.
