Position Title: SecretaryQUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma. Prior job experience preferred. Knowledge of office equipment and skilled with computer and calculator. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.REPORTS TO: Building AdministrationJOB GOALS: To maintain thorough and efficient records and reports of the school district. Perform all duties in the position within compliance of the Superintendent, laws, state regulations and the Board of Education policies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe performance responsibilities of this position may or may not include but not be limited to the following:
- Come to work each day adequately prepared, both physically and mentally, to perform the following duties:
- Receive and route incoming calls
- Assist the Principal Secretary, the Principal, staff and the public
- Perform usual office routines
- Maintains a log of visitors to the school
- Maintain student and adult meal counts
- Maintain attendance in Eschool and issue tardy/absence slips
- Enter discipline into Escool
- Submit maintenance requests as needed
- Serve as registrar - enroll and drop students
- Mail student records as needed
- Serve as cafeteria cashier
- Complete insurance forms for students
- Issue driver's forms for students - high school
- Issue transcripts to colleges and/or individuals as requested - high school
- Administrate Solana meal program (deposits, payments online, meal counts, run reports, make IDs, etc.)
- Run various reports as needed
- Page students for check outs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Secretary or Principal
Physical Demands Frequent walking throughout various buildings, sitting for extended periods, standing for limited periods, moderate lifting from 15 to 30 pounds, some carrying up to 30 pounds, manual dexterity, repetitive movement of fingers and hands Evaluation Criteria Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluation of Classified Personnel.
