This is a unique opportunity to join our team at Pennsylvanias Outdoor Adventure Headquarters, Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Inc. The host or hostess is often the first employee that guests encounter. When greeting and escorting the guests to their seats, this position establishes the expectations of service and overall hospitality for the restaurant. While guests are waiting to be seated or waiting for take-out orders to be ready, it is the job of the host or hostess to ensure that the guests are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times. The basic function of the host or hostess is to provide the guests, either on the phone or in person, with information and support in a professional and friendly manner. The host or hostess assists in coordinating activities of dining room personnel to provide prompt and courteous service to patrons by performing the essential duties.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Cashiers** include the following:
* Responsible for opening and/or closing the shop depending on a shift schedule
* Prepping any and all items needed based on daily business expectations
* Greets guests promptly and cordially, taking orders, collecting payment, and serving items ensuring accuracy
* Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage items available
* Assembles and serves items as needed
* Able to work well with coworkers, take direction and maintain productivity in times of high volume
* Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of assigned station
* Accountable for a balanced calculation of sales at the end of shift
* Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and pleasant demeanour
* Ensure prompt accurate service with anticipation and compliance of all guests needs
* In charge of ensuring shops are clear, clean, and ready for the next shift
* Other duties may be assigned as necessary
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Food Runners** include the following:
* Assists in greeting guests and making them feel welcome
* Displays pleasant attitude towards guests and other employees at all times
* Checks on tables and assists in delivering orders from the kitchen
* Transports dirty dishes from Slopeside/Bavarian area to the back of house
* Sanitizes tables and chairs when tables have been vacated
* Restocks supplies as needed; ie. cups, dishes, silverware, napkins, etc.
* RAMP certification is required on the first day of employment
* Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
* Must be at least 16 years of age
* RAMP Certified by the first day of work
* Previous cash handling experience is preferred
* Previous F&B experience preferred, but not required
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
* Must possess strong customer service skills
