Department: HIFJob Summary: The Senior Consultant is responsible the consulting and strategic oversight of the Health Insurance Funds. This position will report to the Public Entity and HIF Business Officer. Principal Responsibilities:
- Act as strategic consultant over the HIFs, select large HIF clients and large direct Public Entity accounts
- Offer strategic consulting counsel over all aspects of the HIF's operation, including strategic advice on:
- Health plan and design
- Pharmacy and solutions around PBM management
- Population Health
- TPA and Vendor management
- Benefits automation
- Stop loss
- Manage broker relationships and grow, strengthen distribution channel partnerships
- Assist in vendor management and oversight including RFP review and submission
- Assist in the Sales and New business process
- Present at HIF meetings on consultancy and strategic services, updates, etc.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree and /or equivalent business experience required.
- 10+ years of complex health and benefit consultancy or health plan administration
- Extensive knowledge of NJ public entity marketplace, brokers, vendors and landscape
- Solid knowledge of the State Health Benefits Plan
- Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with others
- Strong financial skills with underwriting experience
- Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills
- Experience with collectively bargained accounts
Working ConditionsOffice environment with moderate noise level.
