An industry leading, and well-known firm based west of Boston is seeking and experience Director of Construction. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for manging a $20M business, leading a team of employees and driving growth and profitability.

Description

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of Superintendents, Project Managers, and Trades people, focused on fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Business Growth: Drive business development efforts, build a project backlog, and deepen existing client relationships. Focus on long-term growth and sustainability within the division.
  • Autonomy & Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the $20M+ business, ensuring adherence to the company's guidelines while having the freedom to make key decisions.
  • Project Execution: Manage multiple projects across multiple sectors (details of specific projects to be disclosed later).

Profile

  • Leadership Expertise: Proven ability to lead a business, inspire teams, and drive results in a fast-paced construction or building-related environment.
  • Sector Experience: Strong background in commercial projects. Knowledge of these markets is highly desirable.
  • Business Acumen: Strong track record of managing and growing a profitable business. Ability to operate with autonomy while ensuring alignment with company values and goals.
  • Change Management: Experience in navigating organizational change and supporting leadership transitions in a family-owned, multi-division business.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with tools like Procore, Primavera P6, and BIM/VDC is a plus.
