High School Assistant Swim Coach

Job Summary: The High School Assistant Swim Coach will work alongside the Head Swim Coach to assist in the development, training, and management of the school's swim team. The Assistant Coach will help foster a positive and competitive environment, supporting swimmers in improving their performance, technical skills, and overall fitness. This position involves coaching, organizing practices, and assisting with team-related activities such as meets and events. The Assistant Coach will also play a role in promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and school spirit.

Reports To: Head Swim Coach

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching & Training

* Assist in planning and conducting daily swim practices, ensuring a focus on skill development, conditioning, and team strategy.

* Provide individualized instruction to swimmers in areas such as technique, stamina, starts, turns, and race strategies.

* Monitor swimmer progress, providing feedback and encouragement.

* Assist the Head Coach in preparing swimmers for swim meets, including warm-ups, event selection, and race execution.
