Location: Finneytown High School, Cincinnati, OH
Start Date: Immediately (for the inaugural season)
Overview:
Finneytown High School is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced Boy's Volleyball Coach to lead and build our new boys' volleyball program from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary coach to establish the foundation of a competitive and inclusive volleyball program in its first year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive Boy's Volleyball program, including recruitment, training, and player development.
* Design and lead engaging, rigorous practices that foster individual skills and team cohesion.
* Cultivate a positive and supportive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and academic achievement.
* Coordinate and manage all aspects of the program, including scheduling, budgeting, and equipment management.
* Engage actively with the school and community to build interest and support for the new program.
* Collaborate with school athletic staff and administration to meet program goals and ensure compliance with school and state regulations.
Qualifications:
* Coaching Experience: Proven experience in coaching volleyball, with demonstrated success in building a program or team from the ground up.
* Knowledge of Sport: Comprehensive understanding of Boy's Volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to inspire and guide high school athletes.
* Commitment to Student-Athletes: Passionate about fostering athletic and personal development in student-athletes.
* Certification: Must hold or be willing to obtain relevant coaching certification(s) as required by Ohio state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience with high school-level coaching or similar age groups.
* Ability to work collaboratively with athletic staff, parents, and community members to build program support.
