This role includes responsibilities such as help in managing EMIS data for satellite career tech programs, assisting with student enrollment processes and overseeing requisitions and purchase orders for the previously mentioned programs. Additionally, the Secretary is responsible for coordinating and scheduling advisory meetings, as well as proofreading and making necessary revisions to advisory minutes to ensure accuracy and clarity. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Embodies high ethical standards.

  • Completes requisitions and tracks purchase orders and purchases.
  • Assists with collection of receipts and documentation for credit card statements.
  • Orders supplies when needed.
  • Performs general clerical tasks.
  • Maintains a systematic filing system that supports the efficient retrieval of records.
  • Exhibits effective organizational, time management, and resourceful problem solving skills.
  • Assists with organization of advisory meetings and collecting and tracking the minutes and sign in sheets.
  • Enrolls students into satellite career tech programs with the help of the EMIS coordinator.
  • Provides support to the EMIS coordinator.
  • Provides support to two instructional supervisors, the Trades and Industry Supervisor and the Ag and Family Consumer Sciences Supervisor.
  • Serves as a backup to the High School Receptionist in their absence.
  • Assists with WebXam setup for satellite career tech programs.
  • Collects information and creates satellite career tech fee schedules.
  • Checks in and submits time sheets for substitute teachers.
Qualifications:
  • Possesses high school diploma or GED.
  • Displays evidence of course work, certification and/or proficiency in Google Suite Apps, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
  • School background with Student Information System (SIS) experience preferred.
  • Exhibits proficiency in organizing and record keeping.
  • Displays proficiency in spelling, proofreading, and the proper use of grammar.
  • Delivers effective customer service.
  • Meets all mandated health screening requirements.
  • Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Able to successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.
  • Maintains compliance with drug-free workplace rules, Board policies, and other applicable procedures/guidelines.

Salary: Appropriate placement on the Secondary Secretarial Salary Schedule to be determined by education and experience. Salary will range from $35,322 ( Class XII, Step 0) to $42,639.00 (Class XII, Step 5). Base contract is 260 Days. Minimum workday is 7.5 hours per day exclusive of a lunch break . One-year contract with opportunity for renewal. Other Benefits: School Employees Retirement System, Worker's Compensation, paid sick/personal leave, partial tuition reimbursement, and tax-sheltered retirement contributions. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offered. Some benefits are a shared cost between the employee and the Board of Education.
