Qualifications: Certification by the Missouri State Department of Education.Reports to: SuperintendentSupervises: All personnel, students and programs of the building.Goal: To administer, supervise, lead and improve the building as the chief instructional leader.Responsibilities:
- Serve as the official representative and instructional leader of the building.
- Execute all policies, rules and regulations adopted by the Board.
- Recommend candidates for employment.
- Approve and direct all building expenditures.
- Recommend, manage, train and evaluate building staff.
- Complete official school correspondence, including to the media.
- attend all appropriated meetings.
- Keep the Superintendent informed on the progress and condition of the building.
- Make decisions for the best interest of the District and within Board policies and CSIP objectives.
- Promote positive relations between the building, District Board and community.
- Work to achieve District goals adoped by the Board.
- Establish and maintain a positive learning climate in the building.
- Initiate, design and implement programs to meet changing needs.
- Promote professional development of sel and staff.
- Supervise maintenance of all required records.
- Complete required reports.
- Maintain active relations with students, staff, parents and community.
- Develop the master schedule.
- Attend and supervise activities, athletics and events.
- Assist with teacher in-service.
- Conduct regular staff meetings.
- Plan and supervise emergency drills.
- Serve as an ex officio member of all building committees.
- Cooperate with agencies and institutions.
- Oversee the management of the building, staff, students and programs
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and Board.
Terms of employment: Contract to be established by the Board.Evaluation: Annually by the Superintendent in accordance with policy.
