Together with families and communities, we strive to create joyful, academically excellent schools that equip students with the skills and confidence to pursue their chosen paths-whether college, career, or beyond-so they can lead fulfilling lives and contribute to a more just world.Job DescriptionPosition Overview:The High School Tutor is responsible for providing personalized academic support to students in grades 9-12 in the specific content area (Math, English, Science, History). This role aims to enhance students' understanding and mastery of course material, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages academic growth and confidence.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized and small group tutoring sessions in content area (Math, English, Science, History) to reinforce classroom learning.
  • Assess students' academic needs and develop targeted lesson plans to address learning gaps.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring with instructional goals and curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Track and report on student progress, making adjustments to tutoring strategies as necessary.
  • Assist in the development of instructional materials that cater to diverse learning styles.
QualificationsQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • 1 year or more of experience in tutoring or teaching
