Examples include grading, mowing, sweeping, setting forms, pouring/finishing concrete, cutting, painting, installing and placing steel sections. Operates specialized equipment that may include, but is not limited, to a snooper truck and crawler. Performs a variety of bridge maintenance activities using equipment such as complex saws, power tools, measuring devices, and welders. Performs placement of traffic control devices to properly set up a maintenance work zone according to the SCDOT Work Zone Traffic Control Manual and Field Guide to warn motorists. Operates equipment during emergency and inclement weather operations; may include being available for extended working hours or 12?hour shifts. Operates heavy equipment that may include, but is not limited to, a lowboy truck tractor, excavator, and front-end loader. Performs other related duties as assigned.
