Primary Responsibilities In the role of Highway Project Manager, we'll count on you to: •Support marketing efforts to develop client relationships, develop pursuit capture plans, prepare proposals, attend interviews, and prepare project technical and price proposal •Use client relations to support growth of highway design projects in Ohio •Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on maller project •Prepare or oversee the following roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, roadway drainage including hydraulic reports, and right-of-way plan •Prepare and oversee the following elements of various sizes of contract plans, specifications and estimates: roadway ections, alignment/right-of-way plans, roadway profiles, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, paving, pavement marking plans, signing plans, traffic control plan •Manage moderate to small to large size project •Preparation of scopes, budgets and schedule •Manage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants, keep project on chedule and within budget, and keep client satisfied •Perform other duties as needed Keywords: Highway, Roadway, Transportation, DOT, ODOT, Civil Engineering, Design #LI-EH1 Qualifications Required Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in Engineering •PE •10 years design experience •Experience with ODOT rehabilitation, reconstruction and new construction highway project •Experience should include facilities with intersections, interchanges, state routes and interstate •Proficient with Microsoft Office, OpenRoads, MicroStation, or other design software as appropriate •Excellent oral and written communication skill •An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Why HDR At HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
