THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Highway Sign Worker, you will locate and install directional signs along state highways. You will also replace broken sign posts and damaged signs. Your work will include replacing broken sign posts and damage signs. Other important duties include cutting weeds around state highway signs, and painting crosswalks and parking stalls in accordance with environmental protection requirements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Shift work may be required as operationally necessary.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year of experience as a painter's helper or other work leading to journeyman skills in sign painting; and such training as may have been gained through completion of the eighth school grade; or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
