Location: 1 position is at New York, NY JOb id : 9891 nd 2nd position at At Washington DC JOB ID : 9811 Keep rates competitive Schedule:- 40 hours per week, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 7:30 PM Assignment length:- Contract to hire Job description HireArt is helping a global proptech company hire an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our operations. In this role, you'll be primarily responsible for completing interior installations/repairs to brand standards. You will also keep operations managers informed of potential repairs, actions being taken, and the status of any major maintenance projects. The ideal candidate is a stickler for detail, proactive, skilled in general maintenance tasks, and thoughtful as to ensure that the property is continuously in pristine condition for guests. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll:

  • Provide installation of furniture, lights, home appliances, wall mounting of the mirror, and artwork as required based on furnishing standards.
  • Conduct repairs as needed (e.g. carpentry, handyman tasks, wall painting tasks).
  • Troubleshoot/repair where possible. Where applicable, arrange a repair with a specialist appliance engineer.
  • Conduct inspections and provide a snag list for the apartments.
  • Liaise with contractors on maintenance tasks (e.g. appliances, plumbing, electrical work, etc) that are specialized if needed, hand over, communication, and follow up checks.
  • Assist guests with maintenance/technical issues (e.g. electrical, plumbing, carpentry) related to their stay at the property in order to support a positive guest experience.
  • Assist in delivering missing items to clients, such as glassware, lighting, small appliances, etc.
  • Source spare parts needed for the tasks assigned and maintain stock inventory.
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience as a general maintenance/repairs technician or in a similar role
  • Proven experience in repairing home appliances
  • Experience in spare parts and knowledge of suppliers to source them
  • Eye for details and ability to inspect apartments and provide accurate reports/snag list
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance/technical procedures and practices
  • Client-oriented with very good communication skills
  • An active Driving license
  • Fluent level in English language
  • Flexibility in schedule and ability to attend emergencies as needed
  • Appropriate certifications for the equipment in use
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
