Job Title: Sr. Staff AccountantJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Staff Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in job cost or construction-related fields, and advanced Excel skills. This role involves assisting with daily, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting Department, preparing and reviewing financial information, and leading the production of monthly financial statements.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with daily, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.
+ Prepare and review financial information for income statements, balance sheets, and management financial reports.
+ Lead the production of monthly financial statements and reports.
+ Prepare required schedules for quarterly and annual audits and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
+ Perform detailed General Ledger reconciliations and research discrepancies monthly.
+ Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
+ Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
+ Manage cash flow through daily cash management and analysis.
+ Address general ledger inquiries from other departments and provide guidance as needed.
+ Prepare journal entries as necessary for all areas of responsibility.
+ Collaborate to enhance overall accounting and audit processes.
+ Mentor junior staff and provide training as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
+ 4-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in job cost or construction-related fields.
+ Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, filters, sorting, and VLOOKUP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Job cost or construction experience.
+ Experience with Vista by Viewpoint accounting software is a plus.
+ CPA or Master's degree is a plus.
+ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
+ Ability to work independently as well as on a team.

This position is based at our corporate headquarters. We offer a professional business environment with opportunities for growth within the company. We have a decent-sized Accounting team of 10+ members, providing ample opportunity to learn and advance. The role reports to the Assistant Accounting Manager. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $82000.00/hr.
