**KOMAN Sustainable Solutions** is seeking a **Historic Preservation Specialist** to support our construction projects in Stonewall, TX. As a Historic Preservationist, you will be crucial in safeguarding and restoring important historical structures and cultural resources on the construction site. Your expertise will be vital in preserving historic buildings and structures, ensuring their cultural and historical significance endures for future generations.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Evaluate the condition of historical structures and assets.
+ Ensure project staff are abiding by the Historic Preservation Treatment plan.
+ Educate staff on the Historic Preservation Treatment plan and its significance.
+ Oversee sub-contractors to ensure historical assets are protected and handled properly throughout the entire construction process.
+ Select and implement appropriate materials and preservation methods that align with historical accuracy and preservation best practices.
+ Review and inspect protection measures daily.
+ Document all inspections and work with Project Manager to correct deficiencies.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Archeology, Cultural Resources, or related is preferred.
+ Three to five years of historical preservation experience.
+ Knowledge of preservation construction techniques and styles.
+ Historical preservation certification or related is preferred.
