You are compassionate and dedicated and want to help empower communities to heal.Specifics Raphah Institute seeks an experienced and trauma-informed person to join the Early Embrace (EE) team as an Education Coach to help Spanish-speaking community members build their skills and knowledge of teaching practices as they become home-based early childhood educators.You'll work closely with the EE Family Childcare Network team, helping educators reflect on their work, providing guidance and structure when needed, and focusing on strengths and collaboration. You'll ensure professional development and training happen through co-planning, co-presenting, and giving feedback. You'll also show your passion for restorative and social justice work, especially in early childhood education. This position is not supervisory; you will not evaluate your colleagues or educators.You'll have the opportunity to build respectful relationships with others, communicate well, resolve conflicts, stay committed to learning, observe well, and model best practices for working with early childhood educators and other partners.Why You Should Apply

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The EE Education Coach (Spanish) will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Deliver the EE curriculum to Spanish-speaking cohorts in a culturally affirming and appropriate context
  • Build safe, stable, and nurturing relationships with program participants
  • Build collaborative and trusting relationships with the EE team and Raphah staff
  • Support emerging and current early childhood educators in starting and operating high-quality home-based childcare businesses, focusing on helping them build strong relationships, create good learning environments, and teach social-emotional skills.
  • Collaborate with EE Director and staff in Assessing, designing, and improving upon EE programming.
  • Design and deliver professional development opportunities for home-based childcare providers in the EE network.
  • Participate in recruiting new community members to new EE Cohorts.
  • Collecting and entering data related to EE program outputs, outcomes, and impact.
  • Participate in department and company-wide projects as required.
Educational RequirementsBachelor's degree in early childhood education (ECE), Child Development Associate (CDA), or at least three (3) years experience working with young children.Required Knowledge/Fluency
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Latin Culture
Preferred Experience (not required but makes you a more competitive applicant):
  • Delivering adult education
  • Data entry
  • Experience working with survivors of crime/trauma and delivering trauma-informed care
  • Conflict management and resolution in adult settings

Communication Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.Physical Demands:An employee must meet the Physical Demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
